Back up
People spamming the forums prompted me to shut them down however since Nexus Biographies was tied to the forums it had the side effect of bring this site down as well. I've been putting off bring the site back up for quite sometime but after a few requests here we are.
So what is the status of Nexus Biographies? Well it is pretty much dead, although there is still a fairly substantial amount of stories here I have had little success in the past of procuring more. My own lazyness also prevents me from creating stories of my own (which you can find under Dritz and PyroAce. This site is also fairly clunky for me to work with compared to my more recent work (Chongun Haven) making it difficult to do any kind of updates. Perhaps one day I will find the time to completely redo the site to eliminate such problems. I do rather like the Cerulean style despite being a little rough around the edges so I would not expect any drastic changes to the look of the site.

Submission Page Fixed
I've got bugs cropping up everywhere. Apparently there was some issues with the submission page. I'm sure that's what been keeping everyone from sending me a story.

Archive fixed
Apparently the Archive page hasn't been working for some time. I'm glad people share these little bugs with me, not that I even expect people come round here very often. Anyways it's fixed now.

Cerulean Internet Explorer Errors Fixed
I was able to do a quick and easy fix for the IE errors encountered under Cerulean. I was simply using a CSS property which is supported by every other current browser except for Interent Explorer (even 7).

Cerulean Internet Explorer Errors
There is currently an odd error which only effects Cerulean in Internet Explorer. This error I assume has existed since AX was released but has somehow gone unnoticed. I encourage people who use IE to use one of the other styles (Tangerine, Avalanche, or Foliage) until the issue is resolved. I apologize for any inconvenience.

RSS Feed Revived
So as those of you who have been using the Nexus Biographies RSS feed have probably noticed the feed has not been updated for awhile. While since I'm on a RSS kick (I just finished one for Nexus Atlas) I decided to fix mine. Considering it took me about 3 weeks to do the NA one I'm happy to say it took me about a half hour to fix this one working from scratch ;).

Nexus Biographies AX
Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas. I suppose it's a little early but I have nothing else planned to give you and I don't have the patience necassary not to give you this present early.
For the truly observant of you I'm sure you've noticed over the past few days that here and there a few links have been acting funny. They've been displaying loading messages and generally displaying pages faster without reloading the entire page. This new feature is now fully integrated in Nexus Biographies.
Dubbed Nexus Biographies AX because it sounds cool this new feature will drastically decrease load times and help you zip across the site in no time. The name alludes to the technology behind it all (AJAX) which has recently been employed in sites across the web.
If you want to see if your browser is AJAX enabled just click on the home link. If a loading message is displayed then your browser is fine but if the whole page reloads then to bad for you. Try upgrading your browser or downloading the latest Firefox.
Hopefully before the new year I will implement a feature currently present in only Cerulean across all the styles. I am referring to the duplicate navigation at the bottom of every Cerulean page which I hope will make it easier for everyone to figure zip around the site.

Cerulean
Time goes on and the site evolves. Stories they don't come but I keep going. Here's
Cerulean. december 2, 2006
Sub-Nav Bug
It's a good thing people tell me about these things :P. There was a bug with the
sub-navigation system which has hopefully been resolved. The gears are still turning by
the way expect to see some updates in a few weeks. october 27, 2006
Community Legends Complete
The Community Legends page has been finished. The Barbarian, Do, Shaman, Spy, and
Merchant scrolls are the only scrolls not present, their respective paths do not wish for
thier scrolls to appear on the site. september 24, 2006
Drifting Winds
Drifting Winds has been added to Community Legends under the story section. Expect
about one scroll a day to be added. I won't be posting every time a new one is added but I
will make a post when they are all there. september 11, 2006
Community Legends Finished
Community Legends (still limited to just the Kwanhonsagje at this time) is now
available in all styles. Other Kingdom scrolls will be coming soon. september 10, 2006
Community/Subpath Legends
The first part of my efforts to index all community and subpath legends from the
scrolls of NexusTK is complete. This new feature is available in the story section in
Foliage.
The section only contains the Kwanhonsagje (the
Chongun scroll) at the moment. I need to work out some issues before I can make the
feature work in all styles and until that happens I will not be adding any other scrolls.

Author Profiles Fin
Profiles have been implemented across all styles. august 30, 2006
Author Profiles Part 2
How profiles are displayed in Foliage is beautified. I'm trying to decide if
improvements are necassary on the current look at the moment but I believe I'm finished
with it and ready to move the feature over to the other styles. august 29, 2006
Author Profiles
Foliage has been outfitted with a nice liffle feature which shows profiles on author
pages. This feature will be made more aesthetically pleasing and will also be included
with every style in the future. august 25, 2006
Stories Fixed
A change long in coming has finally occured. Many of the stories on the site were
previously bugged but now the entire story catalog should be available without any major
errors. Formatting errors are still a problem but will be fixed in due time. august 11, 2006
Nexus Biographies 2
Nexus Biographies 2 a compilation of three seperate designs has been released. Use
the style menu to change your style and I hope that everyone finds a style they like. This
release has a minimal amount of new features with it. Some functional changes include
menus becoming more stylized and less overwhelming. Another change is the loss of Weekly
Polls and a revamping of the story poll feature. Story polls are now based on Legacy
Forums user names, so you must sign up for the forums to vote.
Please reference the Evolution special project to learn more about
planned features in the future. august 06, 2006
Updates and a Rebranding
Dritz's stories have been updated. The Legends of Dritz series now
works and will not present any errors. The really keen eyed of you will notice that the
series is actually simply refered to as Legends now. Take a further look into any of the
volumes and you will find the name Dritz replaced with Ekera. In the past there has been
some confusion as to my choice of name for the character since apparently the name (or a
derivative of it) is actually being used in a series of books. I never intended to take
the name from any other material rather than an intriguing photo I saw on the interwebs.
However due to the confusion I have decided to finally rebrand the series and the main
character. For those of you who are curious, the name does actually mean something now. Of
course I am not responsible to tell you what :P. Go research it for yourselves. july 06, 2006
Special Projects
Every so often when I have a few things planned I reopen the Special Projects
section and with my recent plans to do two new redesigns, I decided to reopen it once
again. There is nothing new to there for those of you who have read the previous news
posting under the Nexus Biographies 2 heading. It is news, however, that I am also
redesigning the archive to be more user friendly and just a little prettier. march 06, 2006
Site Designs
So I had to fit at least one post into the month of Febraury so here it is. Not much
to say, there are still no stories coming in so I really do not know what to do aside from
just keep on going.
Who knows perhaps the lack of interest
in the site is largely do to myself. I have done several site redesigns in the past, the
most recent one being fairly major, however I feel that the design is still putting people
off. With that being said I can only seek to refine the site even more and perhaps even
going into some drool standard designs.
With that said I
would like to formally introduce my plans for the most ambitious redesign yet. In fact I
am not releasing just one but two new designs, Tangerine (Version 9) the traditional
design which may attrack more people and Avalanche (Version 10). Tangerine will be a much
lighter tone than any previous design. Avalanche is obviously very white and snowy, and is
also closer to my more whimsical design preferences.
Other
then that I will also be adding a few more features here and there. I expect but don't
promise these new designs to be available by mid-april. february 27, 2006
Advertise Nexus Biographies!
Well as always there is a shortage of stories comeing in (how we reached our current
total of 123 I'll never know) so submit your stories to me... please. Anyways here is the
new add I am circulating for Nexus Biographies which is the same as the old one plus
updated contact info.
http://www.nexusbio.org
Have you ever wanted your stories to be displayed for all to
see? For your life to go down in history as legend? The world is a chaotic place and in it
many heroes have found a way to leave thier mark in history. But in the years to come who
will remember you? In the end all we have left is the legacy we leave behind and slowly
even it fades away. The written word holds great power and can stand the test of time.
Explore the stories held within the walls of Nexus
Biographies. Don't be afraid to touch the ancient texts that litter the shelves and allow
yourself to dwelve deep into the past. Read tales of heroic warriors, thieving rogues, and
great sorcerers.
Afterwards take the time to slowly grasp
a pen and etch out your own tales.

Nexus Biographies is the premier resource for stories of the people of
NexusTK after 3 short years the collection has reached over 100 stories and it promises
only to grow larger. Although I welcome you to come visit and read the stories already
there, I would also like you take the time and send me your stories. It doesn't matter if
they were written today or five years ago, all stories are valueable assets and are meant
to be exposed to the world.
Send your tales to me at

Multimedia Section fully functional
From the multimedia section you now have access to the Kim Jong portrait collection
and NexusTK 6.0 music. There was also a little bug hiding in there which prevented the
download of the portrait maker which has been fixed.
Speaking of the portrait maker I will probably append the help section to explain how it
is used since Nexus no longer supports the file format that it saves it's portraits in.

RSS back up
The RSS feed is now working properly and has improved since it's last incarnation.
You may now access individual posts through your RSS client. Also the feed has moved to
http://www.nexusbio.org/rss.xml
The Nexus 6.0 music and
Kim Jong collection will be up tonight as well. january 1, 2006

A bug present in any stories which use quotation marks (ie. anything that has spoken
text) has been fixed. Also the news section (this section) has be fixed to allow extended
browsing by month of the year 2005. january 1, 2006
Happy New Year
Yah what the title says. I'll have to do some editing to make the 2005 news
searchable by month again since we're starting a whole new year. january 1, 2006
