The Swordsman's Papers

A master swordsman named Yamada was a very meticulous person. He had all the documents concerning classical swordsmanship that he had inherited from his teachers wrapped in fire-resistant paper. Those documents were stored neatly in a box that could be quickly moved in case of an emergency. He maintained, "It is my duty to preserve these invaluable documents for future generations." However, when a fire caused by an earthquake once threatened to engulf Yamada residence, he immediately removed the box from the shelf and prepared to flee to safety. However, he suddenly thought to himself "How will it look if people see a warrior running away to protect material possessions? It is foolish to save warrior items while ignoring the warrior spirit to serve society." Yamada then replaced the box and then ran out into the street to help pull people from the rubble and fight the fire. (The documents survived unscathed.)
