Legend of Kimesh
Legend as told by Runag, of the island town of Hausson.

Hausson was once the home of the Hyun moo, the great totem turtle. The citizens of Hausson were grateful for her staying, as she ensured protection from the pirates that frequent the seas around us. During this time there was also a young lady, Kimesh, who was training in the art of fighting. She became a great fighter, and even forged her own weapons, which held great powers.
On day, many, many years ago we suffered a great attack on our land. Armies from the main land had joined with the pirates in a great attack on our island. Hyun moo was unable to protect the island alone. Kimesh quickly joined the battle to fight by the side of Hyun moo. The battle raged for weeks, day and night. Hyun moo called upon her fellow totems to come to the island to help protect her home. Chung ryong, Ju jak, and Baekho all came to help in the battle. With the power of the four totems joined together, as well as the aid of Kimesh, they were able to overcome the greatest invasion this land has ever seen.
Unfortunately during the battle Kimesh was mortally wounded. The four totems gathered around her to pay their respects to a warrior so great that she was able to fight along side with them in battle. The totems knew of her passion for fighting, and weapons. Each decided to bestow a gift of a special method of crafting a weapon on her.
Chung ryong gave her a scale from his body. A large glowing scale that was razor sharp, strong, and had the ability to be forged it into a great sword.
Baekho took some fur from his coat, and gave it to her. Woven together correctly this hair turns into a thin, nimble blade that is quick, and very deadly.
Ju jak had a loose claw that he removed and gave to Kimesh. This claw was blessed with great magical abilities still, and could be held as a staff.
Huyn moo, the final totem, knew that she would not be able to save Kimesh's body from dying, but wanted to protect her life force. Hyun moo took from the sea a great lance and fused Kimeshs' life force into it so Kimesh could live on forever.
Some people still say that Kimesh lives on this island, at least in spirit form. I believe she frequently visits my shop, to watch over me as I forge my weapons and tools. I think she is still around, and always looking to help those who follow the path of the totems.
